Mobile / Tele-Doctor (General/Family Practice)
Role Summary
Excel Health doctors provide virtual and home-based medical care, focusing on primary care, preventive health, and chronic disease management.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual consultations and home visits when required
- Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribe medications appropriately
- Provide preventive health counseling and patient education
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Collaborate with nurses and care coordinators
- Escalate cases requiring specialist or hospital care
Requirements
- Licensed medical doctor
- Minimum 2 years hospital clinical experience
- Experience in general/family medicine or daily medical practice
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable using telehealth platforms
- Patient-centred mindset
Regulatory & Compliance
- Knowledge of NDPR (Nigeria Data Protection Regulation) and patient confidentiality
- Understanding of clinical governance and medical ethics
- Compliance with MDCN (Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria) standards
- Proper documentation and medico-legal awareness
Clinical Competence
- Strong grounding in general/family medicine
- Safe prescribing practices
- Triage and escalation decision-making
- Infection prevention and control knowledge
Telehealth Competence
- Ability to deliver care via telemedicine platforms
- Digital record-keeping competence
- Remote patient assessment skills
Safety Certifications (Highly Recommended)
- HIPPA Certified
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (bonus)
KPI Expectations
- Patient satisfaction score ≥ 85%
- Timely documentation/ Appropriate referral and Escalation (within 24 hours)
- Minimum consultation volume target (to be defined monthly)
- Adherence to clinical protocols
- Low clinical escalation error rate
